Alright so this is my first journal on DA but I was just so in shock from what I just watched I had to make this an entry. This may contain minor spoilers, for the first three books, so you have been warned!

Okay, I've been a fan the Cirque du Freak books for about 3 years now, I'm not finished with the series, but I have read a lot of the books. If you haven't read this series you should, I've never read anything like it before. It's about vampires, and when I say vampires I don't mean sparkly, live forever, become extremely beautiful Twilight vampires. Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of Twilight, but I wouldn't think the two series are anything alike, so just for warning, any Twilight fans reading Cirque du Freak for the first time be warned they're different. Great now that that's out of the way, time to get to the real point.

I just watched the trailer for Cirque du Freak and it is most EVERYTHING if not EVERYTHING is NOTHING like the book. Of coarse this is what always happens with books being adapted into movies, but this is just wrong. What happened?!?! Even the manga adaption was more true to the books than this! What about the whole stealing Madam Octa part? My poor Evra Von, and dare I say Mr. Crepsley, being portayed by John C. Reily, he's a good actor, but leave him to comedies, not vampires. Is Murlough even going to appear? He's an important antagonist! I don't even know,maybe it won't be good as an adaption to Darren Shan, but as it's own movie, but still, my image of Cirque du Freak is kind of ruined. :*(
